Most of my previous ideas like gumstick clusters, big ones turned out to be to expensive a this moment, but they gave rise to some intresting things. Like a gridcluster. But there is one new application for which they are ideal. There will be others of course I don't think of.
A Neural Network. Each gumstick would be a AN, or Arteficial Neuron. The difference ehre is that this Neural Network does not have any fixed connections at all. Connection can be rewired whenever necessary. For a different task. Because an AN goes out. It comes from a system I have been thinkering with which went out from ht efact hat if from lets say a 100 AN, 80 would malfuncion, become faulty, it should still be able to work with those 20. Slower, but it would still work. Gumsticks need few if any adaptions for that. Possibly only one mentionnend before for two CF cards. One wireless, and one just a flash card. But it can be made to work with bluetooth as well. That is slower but it will work.
The advantage is that it uses of the shelf components, gumsticks, compact flash cards. It only needs a specifc communication protocol added and some other software. Basic hardware already needed, for the power supply.
That would be about it. If anyone is intrested, let me know I'll answer question if I know the answers.
