I use the "show offline buddies" option at least once every other week, with it
rarely being active for more than 1-5 minutes. I do not think moving
it to preferences is a good idea. I would tend to guess that I am
actually fairly typical in this case, activating it so as to send an
offline message, or as an easy way to check logs of offline buddies.
Neither use case is facilitated by having it in preferences, both
lend themselves well to having it in a menu.
