The GUI is not needed to dump the file, but displaying the menu beforehand is
nice. I could do a non-GUI version if there was demand. (Actually I did
that first, as a means of testing the menu structures).

Right. I intended to do icons as well, but they turned out to be more
difficult than I expected. Some .desktop files have full icon paths, others
could be specified by preferences, or just taking the first one found that
worked. The GUI would be better with icons as well :)
Thanks for the feedback.
I need to know if people would use it before bothering with the icons. If it
works better than other available tools then I would be encouraged. :)
