I remember that post, and tracked the issue into speedbar, and put a
fix into cedet CVS a little over a week ago. It would be nice if
you could grab the latest dframe.el/speedbar.el and give it a try to
see if it fixes the problem correctly.
My memory of this is very vague at this point. I seem to remember
that the specific action you describe did not call the heuristic
that decides if the mouse should jump or not.
