Subject: [Freeglut-developer] compiling
Thanks again the help regarding my question about the key and the
1. The keys. I decided not to modify my project (coz it is to complex) but
the freeglut. I find easily the key handling and I added the alt, shift
and the ctrl key support. (I understand freeglut philosophy that only
keys, witch is all OS support correctly can be in the freeglut source.) By
the way, I tried the glutGetModifiers(), and it works, but my problem is,
I need to catch ONLY the ctrl key.
2. Fullscreen. I realized, the wmaker icons (or I should say docks) are
really on top. So no other windows can be over there. (Other window
managers also has gui parts always on top) I suppose, the
glutEnterGameMode() would solve the problem, but:
#1: I can't figure out, how to use game mode on linux.
#2: I don't want my application to switch the screen mode anyway.
3. Because of (1) I need to recompile the freeglut. I did it, and it works
for me very well. Can I compile it to make only static file? I mean, my
project needs .so file, and I would like to avoid it (I don't mind, my
binary file become bigger). Last, but not least my compiled libglut.a 10
times bigger, than the original (debian package). What I did wrong? (Is
there any debug info, or something else?)
P.s: Sorry for my bad english.
