No, the amavisd-new (like MTAs) doesn't care much for the mail header.
Important decisions are based on SMTP envelope addresses.
But as SpamAssassin is being called for spam checking (unless disabled),
you can use the white/black list functionality of SA, which works on
mail header contents and not on envelope addresses.

I understand it can be handy at times. I just don't feel a strong need
to duplicate the functionality that is already available, albeit using
another configuration file (local.cf) for the purpose.
