Let's step back a minute and find out why you think you need a low latency
kernel in the first place. It may well be that you do, but it's possible you
do not. I've spoken with you before, but I don't remember your situation.
What are you trying to do with Rosegarden? What kind of hardware do you have
already? If, for example, you are focused entirely on MIDI, do not care
about running soft synths, and you have a decent MIDI-capable soundcard like
an SB Live! or similar, then you really have no need for low latency audio
stuff at all.
I seem to recall you're focused on MIDI, but you have a cheap soundcard in a
very slow computer, and you have to run QSynth. Is that right? In that
case, I submit that a $30 SB Live from Wal-Mart could solve all your problems
