No idea. What does the system tray icon plugin do when you click on the X in
the buddy list? It seems like you would want to do the same thing?

It seems unlikely to me that will ever happen. While the login window could
easily be removed, and the accounts editor used instead, I think the login
window makes Gaim meet user's expectations of an IM client a lot better.
Anyone who has used an IM program before will probably expect some kind of
login window. It's good PR!
