I wanted to report that I was able to successfully compile the STLport 4.6.2 release, with mingw gcc 3.4.0
However, it did require some modifications, although they are EXTREMELY minor. It did take me a few hours to track all this down, so I thought I'd share it with the group to save some people a little bit of time.
Procedure to install and build STLPort-4.6.2:
1) Download the STLport-4.6.2 download file off stlport.org
2) Unzip the archive so it is in c:/mingw/STLport-4.6.2
3) Apply this diff to the file: c:/mingw/STLport-4.6.2/stlport/config/stl_gcc.h
< # define _STLP_NO_MEMBER_TEMPLATE_KEYWORD
< # define _STLP_NATIVE_INCLUDE_PATH ../__GNUC__.__GNUC_MINOR__
> # define _STLP_NATIVE_INCLUDE_PATH ../../include
< # define _STLP_NATIVE_CPP_C_INCLUDE_PATH _STLP_NATIVE_INCLUDE_PATH
> # define _STLP_NATIVE_CPP_C_INCLUDE_PATH ../../include/c++/__GNUC__.__GNUC_MINOR__.__GNUC_PATCHLEVEL__
> # define _STLP_NATIVE_CPP_RUNTIME_INCLUDE_PATH _STLP_NATIVE_CPP_C_INCLUDE_PATH
This should allow STLport-4.6.2 to compile. However, for some reason it doesn't link the static version of library, I dont use the static version so I didnt bother to fix that.
