Last night my son downloaded the CVS version of "freeglut" and tried
to compile it on his PC using "Dev-C++" version 18.104.22.168. He imported the
"freeglut_static.dsp" project file and tried to build it. He got about
fifty compiler errors, all of them having to do with a lack of explicit type
casting. I am sending the fixes off for inclusion in CVS.
He also got two compiler warnings regarding a Windows function call.
The call is in "freeglut_gamemode.c" on line 119, where "freeglut" calls
"EnumDisplaySettings" with -1 for the second argument. Apparently MSVC
doesn't mind this but Dev-C++ flags it as a warning.
Finally, when he tried to compile the "Lorenz" demo program it
wouldn't link. It said that several functions, including "glutMainLoop" and
"glutMainLoopEvent", were missing. I am mystified by this and plan to
contact the "Dev-C++" builders with this problem.
