[Yaml-core] Ruby 1.8 out (with YAML/Syck 0.39)

Glad to say that Ruby 1.8.0 is at last out today.  This includes the late=

Syck code from CVS.  It's a great release for the Ruby community and a bi=

win for all of us.

Go ahead and pick up a copy from the Ruby website [http://www.ruby-lang.o=
rg/]. =20
Documentation for the YAML module is at [http://yaml4r.sf.net/doc/].

There are a few things left to do for the 0.40 version of Syck, after whi=
ch I=20
can focus on bolstering the Python, PHP and Perl extensions.

I had a good one-on-one with Matz at the OSCON party. He's very excited
about YAML. Thanks for so much hard work on this library.

Ah, good to hear.  He's made a number of favorable posts on his Japanese
blog [http://rubyist.net/~matz/] and has been very helpful in debugging
and enhancing Syck.
