I was experiencing problems using the semanticdb-default-save-directory =
I really wanted to contain the semanticdb cache files outside of my =
However, when I set the variable, semantic started throwing errors, and =
I could no longer open files that semantic parses. I got the following =
error in the minibuffer: Symbol's function definition is void: =
removing the setting for semanticdb-default-save-directory caused things =
to go back to normal.
it turns out that this function is defined in the jde, but I had =
deferred jde loading unil I actually open a java file.
turning off the deferred JDE loading fixed things, sort of.
I no longer get the error at startup, but semantic and semantic-db do =
not seem to be working well any longer. I can't seem to make semanticdb =
save a cache file at all anymore. Any hints?
the XEmacs version is 21.4
