I must have missed that width guideline :-) If you want to rescale the
images, please don't hold yourself back :-)
The only thing to worry about is whether the rescaled images are still
readable. If they're barely legibile then we might want to crop instead
of scaling down. But I doubt it's going to be that bad.
The PNGs are indexed images, so let's keep them indexed since they tend
to take less space in our case of using few colors.
