This snapshot adds support for thisError and nextError in conjunction
with XML parsing and validation.
thisError is not mapped by default, and only makes sense if you are
actually in the buffer containing the error messages.
nextError is mapped by default to F4 in all modes, so after doing
xmlParseBuffer (Ctrl P) or xmlValidateBuffer (your mapping here) you
can just hit F4 repeatedly to walk through all the errors and warnings.
(nextError, when there's no previous error, is equivalent to the
imaginary command firstError, which, if it existed, would do what its
The astute reader will have noted the omission of previousError, a
command which in fact does not exist and never has existed, but which
might even now be a useful addition.
This is still work in progress, but there are no known bugs; please let
me know if you find any.
