This patch contains mostly hostfs stuff -
hostfs can now untar readonly files, thanks to Matt
the unused ends of mapped pages are now zeroed out
it now has options to chroot hostfs mounts and to disallow destruction
Also, the memory leak caused by /proc/mm descriptors not being close across
exec is fixed and I backported some IRQ cleanups from 2.5.
The new hostfs options are invoked on the UML command line:
If <dir> is present, then it is a directory on the host within which all UML
hostfs mounts will be confined. The only value of <flag> that's currently
supported is 'append'. If this is specified, then all opens by hostfs will
have O_APPEND in effect. Also, unlink and truncate will be disallowed.
