I'll consider the patch.
I have not been planning to re-add the fresh-line to the prompt
function until I can manage a way to have the column position of the
output stream be reset to zero from the newline entered on input
Instead, I've been working around that to ensure that output lines
have a newline at their end. This isn't perfect, either, but has been
the trade-off I've been making until output and input stream columns
could be integrated.
