I have the same problem when I go to tsn.ca and try to watch some
windows media files (highlights of the night.  w00t!)

My CPU usage spikes to 100% until the video starts playing (this could
be a minute or MORE!) and the waiting time seems to depend on the
length, so therefore the size of the file.

I tried to read the history of this list, but it was down and out on
sourceforge about a week ago.  :(

please provide some URLs and try to run it with mplayer before.
if mplayer fails to open it outside of mozilla, then file a bugreport
to mplayer-users.

It opens the file, but it is painfully slow.  I'm talking minutes here
for really large clips.

Is there a way to view a clip without user/password here ? The site is
always asking for it.

This movie make Mplayer crashing with an arithmetic exception here,
could be the problem. Runs ok if disable the sound.
