ROX Desktop

Alright, the ignorant one continues to poke around . . . 

I just installed the Perl Gtk bindings, and I was wondering what widget 
would be used to generate a launcher style menu in a panel applet? I'd 
study existing menu code for the ROX menu applet, or try to use ROXlib, 
but both would require that I learn another programming langauge ;-).
