BTW, just because VXL 1.0 hasn't been released doesn't mean the code
is not stable. Most of the code in vxl is quite stable and well
tested, and is used daily for many research projects. oxl/mvl (Oxford
multi-view library) may be of particular interest. However, I am not
the author of that library, and I haven't used it myself.
