I am lost. I cannot see why the new gcc-2.95.3 is failing to
construct a correct relative GG_EXEC_PREFIX on W9x.
The only change that I think could be invoved is the change to to
DIR_SEPARATOR from '\\' to '/'. This may be breaking
make_relative_prefix() in gcc.c but that is a guess, without being able
to test extensively on W95.
Who amongst you has routine access to a W95 box? My access to W95 does
not correspond to my access to free time. Sorry I can't fix things I
can't reproduce. As a pulling-my-hair-out attempt I can rebuild with
the DIR_SEPARATOR changes reverted. Could someone on this list then
test for me on W95?
I feel very bad about creating this additional confusion, when the
whole point of doing this was to reduce confusion amongst users. I
apologise. Next time I will not be so impatient about getting (not
getting) feedback from other developers before letting the rush of
blood to the head get to me. The way I feel now there will not be a
