The RPM does not work with Mandrake, since Mandrake uses Python 2.0. You
need to make sure that once you have untar'ed the source, that you run
the following commands in the gramps-0.2.0 directory to build the
It sounds like gramps cannot find the interface description file
(gramps.glade). This is probably due to an incomplete installation.
If you have done all of this, and you still have problems, try running
gramps from a terminal window (type "gramps" at the prompt), and look
for any strange errors, especially GTK or GDK type of errors.
