However, I don't see what's wrong with a standalone window manager, like
sawfish or enlightenment... building it into the filer means that the
filer's windows would look different to every other application's!
What would be the advantage?
Andrew McMurry <andrew.mcmurry@...> has created a sawfish theme
that mimicks the RISC OS look. He was using the RISC OS icons, though, so we
couldn't put it on the web. I suggested using Doggysoft's newerlook icons
instead, but I don't know what happened about that...
There is also a theme for Enlightenment on the web site, which does use the
newerlooks icons. But Enlightenment is rather slow...
From time to time, people say they're working on a Gtk+ theme (buttons,
menus and scrollbars), but I don't think one has ever been finished!
