Here's a round-up on the state of OpenBerg on the Mac, for anyone =20
The current version compiles and run very well on the Mac OS X 10.4/=20
PPC platform, at least when built concurrently with Firefox (I don't =20
know about XULRunner).
Two Mac OS X-specific (?) bugs have been detected as of today:
- The window auto-resize widget (top-left on Mac OS X) and the window =20=
hand-resize widget (bottom-right) are both missing on the mac version.
- The Page forward and Page-Back buttons both become VERY slow after =20
a few clicks, and it only becomes worse over time. The GoToPage menu =20
The PPC binary also works with the PPC version of Firefox on Macs =20
with Intel CPUs (using the Rosetta emulation layer provided by Apple, =20=
only test done with a Mac mini). However, the same PPC binary (as =20
expected) won't work with the Intel version of Firefox, since Rosetta =20=
works only application-wide. Furthermore, I haven't yet found a way =20
to compile OB for Intel, since 1=B0/ I only know how to compile it with =20=
FF, 2=B0/Firefox compilation needs a gcc 3 variant and 3=B0/Apple only =20=
distributes gcc 4 for compilation on MacIntels. Any idea in this =20
matter much appreciated.
