Yes. Both have same registers, selection box is created for other
firmwares, that is not built by now.

D2XX, TimeAnalysis, addr 0 (default)

If the box "Error opening USB device" is not opened, then you are
connected to MiniLA. Try MiniLA-settigs, set parameters and GO.

VirtualBox ... is this any virtualization/emulation ? If yes, the
libraries for FTDI may not work. The native Linux code is strictly
recommended. (The wxMiniLA is fully multiplatform, try running "make"
from commandline :-)
In makefile is three configuration switches:
#DEBUGING for selection between optimized RELEASE version, or DEBUG version
#Set to 1 if you like to use binary D2xx libraries
#Set to 1 if you plan to use opensource libftdi library for communicationthru USB
DEBUGGING set to 0 (no debug infoú
HAVE_FTDI_FTDI if you have installed libusb+libftdi
HAVE_FTDI_D2XX if you have installed libftdi binaries
1 = plugin enabled/compiled
0 = plugin disabled/code doesn't require headers and libs for option

I do not know exactly. Try to save to VCD (i dont know if it is done)
