I'm struggling to resolve a problem relating to files starting with a dot.
I have installed netatalk on a debian system and configured it to serve some directories back to my mac.
This works fine, except that the directories have some dot files (e.g. .project for Titanium editor) in them that are needed. These dot files cannot be seen (fine) or edited (not fine) on my mac once the file system is mounted.
I've tried setting (and not setting) usedots, however this makes no difference.
Is there some other settings I should try?
My AppleVolumes.default contains
/home/mark mark allow:mark cnidscheme:dbd ea:sys options:use dots,upriv
I'm not actually sure if this is a netatalk issue or a mountain lion issue but I thought I'd start here, because dot file work normally via samba.
I'm happy to send other config files if I've missed anything.
