Hi all,
I've had a problem for a while that when editing a C file they would
sometimes close when the idle process kicked in. It only affects one
computer I use it seems. The details are
Ubuntu 10.04
Emacs GNU Emacs 23.1.1 (i486-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.20.1) of
2011-03-04 on palmer, modified by Debian
cedet from http://gitorious.org/cedet-mirror as the sf.net bzr service
is blocked by the corporate firewall.
with (semantic-load-enable-code-helpers) there is nothing in *Messages*
the buffer just closes.
with (semantic-load-enable-excessive-code-helpers) I see the following
in *Messages*
Idle Service Error semantic-idle-local-symbol-highlight-idle-function:
"#<buffer *scratch*> - Cannot analyze buffers not supported by Semantic"
If I don't enable the code helpers, it doesn't occur. It doesn't always
occur with them enabled. Being in the middle of an I-Search when the
idle process first runs for that buffer seems to increase the chances of
it occurring. I often keep ctrl held during an I-search so perhaps it
could be affecting the idle process in some way?
Any ideas?
Simon
