I have tried my first web page generation and I am impressed with what
the software can do. A big thank you to all the developers :)
For most people in my database, I have added the sources of information
in the Edit Person sources tab (and incidentally after the recent
discussion about adding source information I like what I can do with the
ScratchPad). Where I think it significant, I have added a source for an
event and in some circumstances these sources are the same (at least at
present, but this might change with more research).
When I created the web page I thought at first that there were some odd
results in the Source References listings. It appeared that in some
cases the source was unnecessarily listed twice. Then I realised that
the specific sources for the links on the page appear first in the list
of sources and then these are followed by the list of 'general' sources
for the individual (those listed in the Edit Person sources tab). Where
these sources are the same, they (logically) get listed twice.
The 'general' sources are numbered, but the numbers do not feature as
links on the page. I wondered if it might be helpful to include a link
to these sources somewhere (perhaps next to the individual's name?) or
somehow separate the link-referenced sources from the 'general' sources.
Then if a source is listed twice, at least the logic can be seen.
