Yes you can, because Kile itself doesn't need a particular TeX
distribution. But it isn't simple because Fink only supports TeTeX. They
even removed the virtual system-tex package.
I managed to do that by creating a virtual system-texlive package which
made Fink accept an already installed TeXLive. That's easy because someone
had already made a large part of that work (it's just not integrated into
Fink).
But after that, you have to track several hardcoded dependency on TeTeX in
other packages, change them and recompile them. That's harder and a bit
painful.
Unfortunately, nobody in the Fink team is ready and willing to do anything
to correct that, even though TeTeX has been obsolete for quite some time.
As a rule, Fink is a very static project, unfortunately.
So either you stick with TeTeX and everything is simple (and honestly I
think it won't change much in real use of LaTeX), or you are ready to
spend a couple of hours tweaking some .info files, as I did. Choice is
yours. ;-)
