Would someone be interested in looking at solving a couple of nasty i18n
issues?
Currently, GRAMPS uses a C library to provide i18n functions. While
python provides a gettext library, it is not compatible with glade
files. However, there is a new function in the gtk.glade library
(bindtextdomain) which is supposed to allow glade files to handle i18n
features.
Also, the intltool package should be able to replace the
get_strings/build_po scripts that GRAMPS currently uses. So I guess I'm
looking for someone to:
1) Figure out how to replace the intl22.so library with a combination of
the python gettext libary and the gtk.glade.bindtextdomain function.
2) Convert GRAMPS to use intltool
3) Convert the GRAMPS directory structure to be a more GNU-ish structure
where i18n functions are involved.
