I'm finally starting to remove some of the Perl legacy from gramps (yes,
the first version was in Perl). The new gramps_main.py file is now an
object, instead of flat code. This has eliminated all globals in
gramps_main.py. This should allow the code to be cleaned up in the near
future, and allow for more extensions and better maintenance.
The program appears to be working fine with the new changes, and it
passes "pychecker" (sort of a lint for python). I would appreciate it if
a couple of people could play with the current CVS version to make sure
nothing is broken. I would not recommend using this for normal usage for
a couple of days.
