You shouldn't be using linux-2.6.12-gentoo-r10. You are patching a
kernel that contains some other patches we have no idea what they do.
It's a way to disaster.
Please use a vanilla linux kernel from http://kernel.org and then
report back if you still have problems. You can obtain it in gentoo
with "emerge =3Dvanilla-sources-220.127.116.11".
