Hi everyone,
I've posted the following news article on the PHPSurveyor site today:
Jason Cleeland
Administrator Time-Out, and the future
It's been almost 2 years since I released PHPSurveyor, and it's been a
rollercoaster ride. I'm constantly astounded by the number of people
using the software, and am grateful to the thank-you's, suggestions, and
improvements sent to me.
But recently it has become more difficult for me to keep providing the
level of support and work on PHPSurveyor that I want to be able to.
It's for this reason that I'm going to cease work on the script for at
least the next month, and possibly longer. I'm feeling very burnt out,
and combined with various family and work issues, I just can't commit
the time needed.
If any of the other developers, or other people are interested in taking
a more active role in managing PHPSurveyor, setting directions, and
doing programming work, now is the time to put your hand up.
I think the script has got a very strong future, and just needs a steady
guiding hand or two to direct it appropriately. I'll remain available to
help out where I can, I just can't commit to leading the charge anymore.
Please contact me at jason[at]cleeland.org if you have any ideas,
suggestions, or can help out in this area.
The existing development team, I believe, should have a guiding hand in
any decisions in this regard.
Jason Cleeland
