j. nilo was kind enough to bring uml to the leaf users - including humble
now i immediately tried it out and it - sort of - works.
on a 2.2.16 kernel running on cyrix 166+ cpu (red hat distribution) it
simply dumps core.
i searched the archives, but cannot recall any mention of a bug.
used versions: 2.4.14 and 2.4.15, rpm packaging.
does anyone care about this? can i provide more information to aid
development in some way? (the cyrix box was free, if it does not run on
cyrix, then it is ok with me... it is still something really great.)
on a 2.2.16 kernel running on a pentium 166 (leaf distribution - contains
only selected libraries) linux runs fine - what an exciting thing :-))
however, i cannot install networking. i tried the tomsrtbt filesystem and a
manual host configuration as per the howto (insmode ethertap, configuring
tap interface etc...)
do i need a network module for my nic on the tomsrtbt filesystem?
the uml_utilities did not load properly (i assume missing libraries) - what
libraries have to be present on the host for the uml to run?
thanks for any info,
