I have developed an application in Python which relies heavily
upon RDBMS interaction. I use a set of routines developed by
a friend and coworker named Steve Burns. He originally developed
and used the routines on AIX with DB2. I have since used the
routines on Windows 2000 both Pro and Server transparently with
both MySQL and SQL Server and the routines are unmodified
from the AIX/DB2 environment.
The routines are built on top of ODBC and are very powerful and
have worked flawlessly.
I cannot make these routines available but I can give you the address
for contacting their author Steve Burns. He also wrote a very good
set of "tracing" routines.
