Is BC validation something that was added in 10_06? Im using 9_12 and the
demographic page only seems to be validating Ontario health card numbers.
For example, I can select a health card type of BC and enter 1111 for the
number and it doesnt complain at all.

yes - and that works for Ontario numbers in BC because it is not a 'live
online' check.
The validation with the ministry of health that the card is valid is
only available with Ontario to my understanding
BC has validation too - from the Master Demographic page click Check
Eligibility (or similar).
Unfortunately (and something I am following up on currently) it seems that
so long as the date of birth you have entered in OSCAR is in the same month
(the day can be wrong), Teleplan's look up will say ' yes eligible'....but
when you submit a bill if you have the wrong _day_ in the DOB then the bills
get rejected.....ie. Teleplan's check says 'yes, all ok' but Teleplan's
billing system says 'no, I won't pay'. Doncha just love BC 'systems' ;-)
