Hi there all
I was trying to run an archive of my 2 servers that BackupPC backs up -
Localhost (Server1) + Server2 - The GZIP archive ran for exactly 1200.0 min,
then BackupPC reported an error message and aborted - "aborted by
signal=ALRM"

exiting after signal ALRM
Archive failed: aborted by signal=ALRM

Then I ran an archive of only server2 without GZIP with no compression. The
archive reported that the dump for server2 would be 234Gb and there was
sufficient space for that size file on the external drive. But it failed!
See log below.

The error above shows that the External drive mounted at /media/lacie500gb
has "No space left". I did a "df -h" and there is approx 40Gb space on the
drive. Why would it report a space error if there is space?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------
root@...:~# df -h

If you look below you will see the size of the server2 file is actually
234Gb, which seems correct to me.
-rw-r----- 1 backuppc backuppc 234855804928 2006-07-28 18:29
server2.9.tar.raw
Why would BackupPC report that there is an error with space, when it seemed
to have dumped the full size anyways!? Very Strange!
What sort of problems should I be looking for? Are their size limitations
that I need to be aware of inside BackupPC? Have other users experienced
problems with large backup pools?
Here is the main BackupPC log file, maybe this will help shed some light on
the matter.

Thanks to all who take the time to read this! Hopefully somebody out there
can shed some light on the matter?!
Cheers
