I am new at this so I appologise for (maybe) stepping on your toes Jim,
but im sure I read somewhere that if you change the setting for the
plugin your using.
For example I use WinLirc-Girder plugin.
In the Event-Filter section
Delay1 (time after first event received):

No, WinLIRC always reports every keypress received, there's no way to
change that at the moment. Patches are welcome, or you could always
modify the client end to ignore some of them (repeats are numbered
