Hi David,
you can use Cheetah, which includes basic psp syntax, with cgi. I believ=
e the=20
same is possible with PSP, but I don't know the details of how.
I'm curious why your customer is requesting this. It's bizarre considerin=
g=20
that they'll take an instant hit in security, performance, functionality,=
and=20
most importantly programmer productivitity. Furthermore, it will much ha=
rder=20
to support and maintain.
I'm currently working on a project where the original lead programmer onl=
y=20
wanted the psp part of Webware and considered everything else to be 'need=
less=20
overhead'. The result was a colossal mess. I joined several months afte=
r he=20
was fired. We've just about removed every trace of it now. The remnants=
=20
that I encountered when I started were *the worst* examples of programmin=
g=20
and design I have ever seen. Most of it stemmed from his skills and meth=
ods,=20
but a large part of it was directly related to the 'psp-is-all-we-need'=20
mindset and the designs it encouraged.
Cheers,=20
Tavis
