Webware for Python

That's global to the process running Webware.

Now that's a problem for me... E.g. I'd like to define a dbpool module
for each context etc. Is there any way to influence the search paths
for each context separately? (If not, I'm sure I'll think of other
ways to do this...)

That depends on how you are running WebKit.  If you're running it 
with a special user account you can modify the PYTHONPATH env var in 
the user's .profile or .bashrc file.  Otherwise you can just add the 
following lines to any __init__.py file that you know will be loaded 
by WebKit:

import sys
sys.path.insert(YOUR_PATH)
