Summary: need per user logging

Initial Comment:
It would be useful to have a built in method that
allowed any message to be sent to a configurable log
file. This should be done on a per user basis. 
Ideally there would be a method that could be called
during login to setup the logger/log file and one
method that would close and delete the logger.

It seems that there are many changes in the CVS version
that address common problems that are occuring with the
0.8.1 release.
Would it be possible to get a new, stable, offical
version released and posted?

Summary: Output lost while running as a window service

Initial Comment:
When the application server is run as a windows service
all of the output (such as print statements) get lost.
It is explicitly sent to a null stream.
Wouldn't it make more sense to assign it to a
filehandler (or a RotatingFileHandler) so that the
output could be captured for whatever purpose?
