Hi Jamie,
I just thought of another question, one that I don't see currently addressed in the Password Restrictions module:
- is there a way to lockout an account of a user whose account has been inactive for X number of days? Actually does Webmin store that kind of information (i.e. last login time) currently?
Cheers,
Matt

Having a look through it right now. This is definitely one handy module. :)
Does Webmin have a way of labeling a password as "temporary"? Not entirely sure if this use-case applies as I haven't really seen how I would invoke this through Webmin just yet but wondering if a user account is locked out, then their password or account is reset, can this password that it is reset to be labeled as a temporary password and have a special behavior since it is temporary (i.e. a temporary password has to be changed in X amount of days)?
Actually, I suppose that makes me realize that I have two questions now:
- is there a way of labeling a password as temporary?
- if a user is locked out, what is the procedure to unlock this user?
Cheers,
Matt

Yes - on that same "password restrictions" page, there is "Days before un-changed password locks account" field for exactly this.

Thanks Jamie. I'll have a look at that.
A follow-up question. Is there a way to automatically disable a Webmin account (so they wouldn't be able to login) if their password has not changed in X number of days?

This is possible, but only for passwords for Webmin itself. You can set this up at Webmin -> Webmin Users -> Password Restrictions.

Hi,
Just wondering if any one knows if there is an existing capability with Webmin to keep a password history? Just looking into a way to keep x number of recently used passwords so that when the user attempts to change their password it can be verified that it doesn't match the last x passwords.
Cheers,
Matt
