But when I try and make this, it just errors on 'trying to write to make
file'
Any suggestions?

It is actually pretty simple - just create a file that contains
both your cert and key in PEM format, for example /etc/usermin-cert . Make
sure it is not password protected. Then in Webmin go to Webmin ->
Usermin Configuration -> SSL Encryption, and select that cert/key file
instead of the default.

What output does 'netstat -tpln|grep -e webmin -e 10000' produce on the 
server?  Did you install webmin via the Debian repository as described 
at http://www.webmin.com/deb.html?

Not sure if this is the exact same issue but I recently had an issue
with the basic tarball install from webmin on a FDebian system I had to
replace the file  /etc/init.d/webmin  with the attached one after I
renamed it and changed the owner to root. I had theis issue on both a 32
bit system and a 64 bit system. Sorry but I dont use the "Debianized"
package for the installation as I simply prefer the tarball installer.

Hmmm, not quite what i was after. Sorry not my day for being clear I'm
afraid.  

I used to deliver to MailDir when I first set it up, but now it's not.
Is there any way I can convince postfix to deliver to MailDir, rather
than mailfile using the webmin/virtualmin interface?

Oh - in that case, you should edit /etc/postfix/main.cf and set
the home_mailbox directive to :

home_mailbox = Maildir/

then restart Postfix. Also, if you are using procmail you will
need to edit /etc/procmailrc and make sure the ORGMAIL and DEFAULT
directives are set as follows :

ORGMAIL=$HOME/Maildir/
DEFAULT=$HOME/Maildir/

Thanks,  that's what I've done. I also used the script at
http://batleth.sapienti-sat.org/projects/mb2md to convert the mailfile
format emails to maildir, then integrated them with the old maildir cur
folder.

I probably need to setet some of the dovecot indexes, but haven;t got
round to that yet.

John,

I know this does not directly answer your question, but I was surprised 
when I learned that the Ctrl-F search function in the browser worked 
inside of the textbox areas. I didn't know if you had discovered that.
