  Which rev of FreeSWAN? If you haven't tried the 2.xx (currently 2.00pre3, 2.00-rc1
soon) patch set, please do. Much more traditional patch set.

  We'd be interested if you've tried our "make uml"/"make check" targets.

  In theory, you ought to be able to follow doc/src/{makecheck,umltesting}.html
to setup the umlsetup.sh, and then, before doing "make uml", do:

  mkdir -p UMLPOOL/swan
  cp your-uml-linux-with-freeswan UMLPOOL/swan/linux

  and we'd just use the kernel you built in the "make check", which would be
a nice way to confirm that your kernels are working well. Note that our
testing system is still at 2.4.19-28um.

I've started to upload some customised UML kernels to 
http://kernels.usermodelinux.org/, which contain extra kernel patches.

Currently I only have 2.4.20 and 2.4.21-pre2, built with 2.4.19-45um 
(which I renamed to -1um so it didn't get too confusing) along with 
IPSec/Freeswan and the MPPE patch for pptp. If anyone wants something 
specific built into a UML kernel, I may be able to include it. I've also 
included the appropriate .config file for the kernel build, so you can 
see what is in it.

I'm also starting to accumulate kernel patches on the site, although I 
currently only have the patch which was posted to allow 2.4.19-45um to 
build properly with 2.4.20 - There is still one reject, but this is 
because the patch in question needs to be backed out of the UML tree.

I may also start including the patch to, say, 2.4.19/2.4.20, so one can 
simply patch a vanilla kernel and build it.
