Dear Product Supporters,

we are the IT service provider of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG.
Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, with registered offices in Munich, was formed in mid-2009
by the merger of Hypo Real Estate Bank AG and DEPFA Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG.

We are ordered to rollout a windows 7 based client (32-bit only) for our customer named above.
Currently Deutsche Pandbriefbank AG is using Windows XP Professional clients.
The following software package of your company is currently being used on our customers client machines:

Product name:  SQuirreL SQL Client
Product version: 3.0

For the client machine migration to windows 7 we do need the following information regarding the product mentioned above:

 - Could you please confirm that the product version named above is released finally for windows 7, or not? (Yes/No)?
 - From which product version on is the product released finally for windows 7?
 - Which product version is the currently latest version released finally for windows 7?
 - If there is no final release for windows 7 available: Please provide us your time schedule for the future product release?
 - Regarding licensing, what do we have to take into account, if we plan to upgrade the product to the next higher version which is available for windows 7?

Please provide us well documented information about the windows 7 compatibility. (e.g.: Release Notes, installation instructions, product sheet, and so on).

Hi,

I've a complex infrastructure with an Oracle-DB, an ApplicationServer and
Client. The AppSrv Queries via "Default-JDBC" are very slow. So I've tried
to run the same Query via Squirrel and it's very fast. How is it possible? I
tried to debug Squirrel an can't find any differences. Same driver (class),
Methods aso.

After that I looked at the ServerTrace. There are differences :

slow query summery (15 sec.):

        1  session in tracefile.
      19  user  SQL statements in trace file.
     146  internal SQL statements in trace file.
     165  SQL statements in trace file.
      42  unique SQL statements in trace file.
    1911  lines in trace file.
      22  elapsed seconds in trace file.


fast (Squirrel) summery (0.7 sec):

       1  session in tracefile.
      17  user  SQL statements in trace file.
      44  internal SQL statements in trace file.
      61  SQL statements in trace file.
      18  unique SQL statements in trace file.
     891  lines in trace file.
       0  elapsed seconds in trace file.

Squirrel reaches nearly the same speed like a "native" call at DB.
Need (JDBC-)Help :confused:
