I tried to do roughly that same thing a month or two ago, except I was trying
it with PHP before I attempted it with Slash.
Everything worked great when you did not pass a query string, but if there
was a query string, it simply reported a 404. Looking at the logs, the whole
thing got to the front-end server, but not to the back-end at all. So for
some reson it must not have gotten through to mod_rewrite correctly.
I was completely at a loss to explain what happened, so sort of gave up on
it. If you succeed, I'd like to know how!
