after a lot of recent coding, I proudly announce the release of Semantic=20
MediaWiki 0.2. This release is now officially dubbed "alpha" (formerly=20
"pre-alpha") since the basic architecture for most intended features is up=
and running. Besides the attribute and unit support that you already know,=
most recent changes include:
* Full attribute support: we can now store and retrieve attribute values as=
* The Special:SearchSemantic is out of order -- it needs adjustments for th=
new URIs. However, there is a new Special:SearchTriple that lets you search=
for attribute values (units supported in input, but currently only exact=20
* New storage format: internally, everything now works on "triples" complet=
with proper URIs and so on. The transition to a triplestore should be easy=
* Older features introduced since the last release: attributes, units, type=
tooltips, template support.
Due to the new storage model, the old data can no longer be used, i.e. data=
will only be accessible after the according article has been saved again.=20
Especially this means that some attributes could again appear as having=20
"undefined type" until someone re-stores them.
Of course, everything is up for testing on wiki.ontoworld.org.
