knowledgeable can bring up a problem I don't know about, I'd be happy
When I first set up the DocBook stuff, I looked at the possibility of
XML but encountered various suggestions that the tools were earlier in
their development cycle than I really wanted. After that, simple
inertia, not technical tradeoffs, kept me from switching, and it's
been long enough that I'm not surprised that the tools are in pretty
good shape now.

Yes, XML is even less like S-expressions than SGML.:-( But I can
probably live with that.
