Hmm. I'm getting an error on the Sourceforge PPC, but I can't believe
that it's related.
The problem arises in the run-program.test.sh test (the system built
fine); I don't know who is at fault here, but running /bin/env results

I would say "go ahead and check it in", on the assumption that it's the
sourceforge machine that's behaving oddly (or else that this is a latent
bug that's just hit...); in the meantime, I'll set off a build on a
sparc, and see if the problem reproduces itself, and report back when it
finishes (so by Monday, approximately :). If you're not in a hurry to do
more work and you're feeling particularly conservative, you could leave
it 'till then...
