(You probably don't care about this unless you are being inconvenienced
by the mispackaging of sbcl-0.8.0-x86-linux-binary.tar.bz2.)
sbcl-0.8.0-x86-linux-binary.tar.bz2 was broken because its install.sh
script expected a file which was built, but inadvertently left out of
the tarball.
I didn't want to leave this broken until the next full release
especially since it's inconvenient to build SBCL without an existing
Common Lisp binary. But I didn't want to drag everyone through the
full ritual of freezing and testing just to fix one missing file in
one tarball.
What I did was bundle up a binary built from a fairly arbitrary CVS
snapshot, shortly after the fix in the build-the-binary-tarball
script.
For more details, see the release notes.
