I tested it on 2.4.1 and it doesn't quite work.
First, I set the Display to 'no thumbnails' in some dir with images.
Then I did Save Settings and checked only Thumbnails option.
I looked at the XML file created and it had this:
No options were saved. So I tried again with all options checked and I got this.
So, thumbnails by itself wasn't saved. I then deleted the other options, producing this.
Which works upon entering the dir in question, but it persists when leaving that dir to another one.
Shouldn't it revert to the default setting when the dir changes?
